Good Morning Joe- Wake Up!

[RE: Good Morning Joe Program- Joe Scarborough, 12/3/2008]

Joe, Please read my article “Talk is Cheap” (http://ofinky.squarespace.com/talk-is-cheap/). As an apologist for George Bush, you forget that throughout his entire presidency, this presidential child has purposely chosen the most partisan and incompetent people that he could possibly find. His neoconservative “gang” has played with him and the entire country like a little child “playing house.” Experiment following experiment, arbitrary “psychotic” policies were incoherently gathered together, Joe, and called the “Bush Doctrine.” Whether we agree about the two wars that I and many people much wiser than I said would bankrupt the country, just as Afghanistan bankrupted the Soviet Union, whether we agree that any other president would not have ignored all warnings of the 9/11 catastrophe or not, the fact remains that, good or bad, Mr. Bush has shown virtually no leadership at all! Your pompous statement that the market collapsed after Obama’s press conferences does not blur the fact that our actual president has done nothing at all to lead during this period. All he has done thus far, is plead with the Europeans not to regulate the obscenities of Wall Street!

Whether the Middle East looks better or worse in 25 years will not matter to the hundred thousand dead Iraqis or thousands of our soldiers. It will not matter to the millions of bankrupt people in the U.S. and foreign countries. It will not matter to millions of ruined lives. It does not matter now to Misters Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Wolfowitz or the other Neoconservative scavengers who even now are preparing to “eat their young,” their legacy to our grandchildren and yours.

If the Middle East is a better place, Joe, it will not be because of George Bush and Dick Cheney and their evil alliance with the dictators of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and others, the reason we were attacked by Bin Laden and all those Saudi Arabian terrorists. It will not be because of Bush’s lack of an energy policy, purposely feeding the terrorists through the oil companies for the past years.

No matter how much you bully Chrysta Freeland, it will not change Mr. Bush from a bumbling, uncaring fool. Instead of studying the last 25 years of our history, like a normal president, he purposely ignored virtually all of history in his effort to revise it.

Joe, it may take a lot more than 25 years and 6 or 7 Presidencies to clean up the mess produced by Baby Bush, and unlike your fellow apologists, it will matter to you.
