Shame on the Media, the towel headed eggheads(Tampa bay Times rag owners, not American)would have you believing just about anything they choose or are forced to knock by the Federal Government. Let me assure you as a Chronic Pain sufferer, I have not once heard of anyone smoking themselves to death by smoking pot. The truth is the FDA has no power in regulating any herbal products. The damning Media and law enforcement would rather you drink and drive , killing ten times as many people. The fact is I would prefer an herbal remedy that truly eases the pain I have rather than the pain killers"Opiates" they can regulate. The pharmaceutical companies have run misleading adds causing once again the idiocy of the average jackass. The Add being run by a female doctor never discloses what type of Doctor she is, an would you believe her even if her specialty was cosmetology, because she never tells one fact, only reads a scripted opinion . The law would rather people be hooked on the pills misused and abused that kill millions annually rather, than offer a truly proven safer alternative to relieve chronic pain. Just remember that those opiates you are taking come from poppy seeds , and 90% of the world production of opiates come from the afghans. Believe me when I say I would prefer to be driving next to someone who may have just smoked a joint, than the person just spent happy hour downing beer specials or shots of Alcohol which truly impair the abilities while smoking pot "Does Not ", impair anything other than pain. The human body has many beneficial uses and gains from Cannabis where Alcohol destroys the liver, and opiates as well give little relief from pain, but keep the illegal drug lords happy and the Feds don't tell you that do they.Vote Yes on Amendment 2 and watch the legislature attempts to steal even more money and tell even more lies like the Lottery really helps education. Seems Rick forgot one BIG detail in where his budget cuts were made, you guessed right if you said education. Just look at what they have done to the lottery, and you'll see the lies about where the money is really going, it is less than 2% of the states education budget, and yet millions believe it's helping. It's only creating a stronger grasp of the Florida economy, if they can't steal it by taxing you death than they hook you on another addiction and make it easier to take Billions a year out of Florida's economy and giving back ziltch. Don't take my word, do the research from reputable sources and look at what the legislature has done to the money, or should I say look for the money they claim to be spending and then look at your tax bill, education is the largest part is it not. I rest my case.

Vote NO on increasing tax to 8%. This is a sham, the rail line will not work( never can or ever will be built) , it's another scam, and we need real alternatives that can solve our P.County issues.
To Charlie, back off the Obama Doesn't care support( He really cares about his golf game), it has only just begun the total damage it will create and is far more vast than imaginable!!
Thank you to the Church of Scientology for redefining The Word "Church", I should therefore be allowed to apply and incorporate my own house as a "Church" since we teach Christian philosophy and practice the teachings of Jesus Christ daily in my Home. How about anyone else, so we can exempt our property from taxes. At least it's not science fiction at it's finest.

The non-discrimination statute applies to all “public accommodations,” and the city views the chapel as a public accommodation.

On Friday, a same-sex couple asked to be married by the Knapps, and the Knapps politely declined. The Knapps now face a 180-day jail term and $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.

A week of honoring their faith and declining to perform the ceremony could cost the couple three and a half years in jail and $7,000 in fines

The Knapps have been married to each other for 47 years and are both ordained ministers of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. They are “evangelical Christians who hold to historic Christian beliefs” that “God created two distinct genders in His image” and “that God ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman.”

But as a result of the courts redefining marriage and a city ordinance that creates special privileges based on sexual orientation and gender identity, the Knapps are facing government coercion.

Governmental recognition of same-sex relationships as marriages need not and should not require any third party to recognize a same-sex relationship as a marriage. Government should respect the rights of all citizens. Indeed, a form of government respectful of free association, free contracts, free speech and free exercise of religion should protect citizens’ rights to live according to their beliefs about marriage.

The Knapps have been celebrating weddings in their chapel since 1989. Government should not now force them to shut down or violate their beliefs.

After all, protecting religious liberty and the rights of conscience does not infringe on anyone’s sexual freedoms. No one has a right to have the government force a particular minister to marry them. Some citizens may conclude that they cannot in good conscience participate in same-sex ceremonies, from priests and pastors to bakers and florists. They should not be forced to choose between strongly held religious beliefs and their livelihood!

This is found at Layman on line. The society has been corrupted so to now force anyone to go against what they believe or face jail and fines. Unacceptable!!!!!
Born in the mid west, but raised in Florida since 1970.
I really understand the phrase "Floridiots", stupidity never takes a day off. It's terrible enough that neither candidate deserve's the job, and it's getting worse by the day. If you believe the line that Charlie Christ was responsible for the jobs Florida lost in 2008, then Blame Obama and his gangster style politics and combine that with D. C. corruption, a kangaroo court of blooming jackasses, go ahead and follow the liberal agenda and put the final nail in the coffin. By the way, anyone have 13 million just hanging out in their bank account to slip past the law for last minute slams on Charlie.
Almost makes me ill to think of another four years of a lying bastard, and since his memory seems to be a problem, let's just take a look at what happened, 2008 major market crash on Wall Street, and Ponzi schemes, costing everyone to lose, excepting the idiots running the Country into the ground Hellbent on destruction. Why would anyone spend 70 million the first time to get a job that he has stolen 10 times that from the Florida economy and continues to do so, and will only get better at his brand of lying as he takes his ques from Obama. Old Dick sorry to see you GO, NOT!!!! I pray people would wake up and stand their ground for the rights he and Obama "doesn't" Care has ripped and stripped until there is noting more to take.
Wake up and smell the stench, it's all bullshit. It's the House and unethical lifetime career politicians that have broke this State, and I do mean broke. Good luck, cause in the next year or so if the world is still here and I'm still in it, I will not be in Florida that's a promise.

I may suggest listening to or at least reading Paul Harvey 'If I were The Devil" broadcast in 1965. Very interesting that this broadcast was done in 1965.
It would seem there are just a handful of voter's that didn't care enough to vote or ( election results rigged in favor of disaster) Rick Scott burned away 20 million more(violating his own policy) to continue his ring hellbent destruction of Florida. I think it may well be time to stand up Charlie and demand a recount.

The vice chairwoman of the Florida Senate Gaming Committee, Sen. Maria Sachs, called for greater scrutiny of the Florida Lottery after a Palm Beach Post investigation revealed some people are winning big prizes against enormous odds.

Sachs, D-Delray Beach, has been an advocate of folding the lottery into a state gaming commission, which would be overseen by legislators and include all forms of gambling in the state. She said The Post's investigation further emphasized that need.
(Past several years the bill was killed in comittee)

"What your investigation has shown is that we need greater oversight," Sachs said.

The Post's six-month investigation revealed that roughly 200 people were defying lottery odds over the last decade to cash in tens or hundreds of winning tickets worth $600 or more.

Mathematicians calculated that nine of the 10 most prolific winners would have lost up to $2 million trying to win so many times.

One man won $719,000 at 69 stores from North Lauderdale to Vero Beach in a six-year span.
(Anyone find it a bit weird that most big winner's are in South Florida?say in Naples,Miami,Orlando maybe? Anyone in PCUSA doubt just check and see the population of Westville 221,coincidence out of state winner in most recent Sat 11.19.2014- Lottery ticket winner. This year was the 221st General Assembly)

In other states, such winning patterns have been found to be associated with criminal activity.Frequent winners in other states were found to have been store clerks stealing tickets from unsuspecting customers, "ticket cashers" who helped lottery winners avoid back taxes or child support and criminals using the lottery to launder money.

Gov. Rick Scott, whose office oversees the lottery and appoints the lottery secretary, said Wednesday, "I know the secretary of the lottery takes everything seriously and wants to make sure it's done properly and with transparency and we're going to make sure there is no fraud."
(This is a published investagation,Check the fact Palm Beach Post)

His office added: "Working with the Florida Lottery, we will continue to increase transparency and hold criminals accountable to protect Florida taxpayers from fraudulent activity."
(I suppose it was just a mistake that a St. Pete man not permitted by law to win was paid in cash-check lump sum for his winning without regards to even checking his ability to handle his own matter's or monatery affairs, A ward of the state with a handler- that's real resposibility?)

Lottery Secretary Cynthia O'Connell told The Post before the story ran that the incredible rate of winning could simply be luck.
(So also is being stuck by a speeding truck) A lottery official said Wednesday the lottery would respond to the story but couldn't predict a time frame.
(Too bad "they" can tell you the numbers before drawn as they are not random)
(Since when did it become "Florida's" PowerBall, they maintain their own website as it is a Multi-state MUSL Lottery. Come on get real...)

Sachs said that retailers should have greater scrutiny, also. The Post found six of the top 10 prolific winners were store clerks or owners.

Currently, store clerks and employees can play the lottery without restriction. They can even play from behind the counter if the store allows it.

Some North American lotteries don't permit clerks and owners to play at their own stores.
(Selling tickets by vending machines without oversight is ok? Then put cigarettes back in vending machines too. Hell just teach our children it's just a game, just entertainment, Right?)

"They can't be checking the tickets to see if anybody won. They can't be playing," Sachs said. "Your article, and previous articles, have shown that other states do it better."

Rep. Mark Pafford, D-West Palm Beach, said that relationship creates a "perception issue."
(A Very Dark Perception that needs immediate attention)

"You shouldn't have the hand in the till. That's extremely awkward," he said.

The Post found that some lotteries place restrictions on its retailers. Ontario, one of the largest lotteries in North America, doesn't allow clerks and owners to play at their own stores.

California asks winners if they own or work at a store that sells lottery tickets. Florida doesn't.
(Strange? Not For Florididiots)

The Senate and House gaming committees are considering creation of a gaming commission that would oversee parimutuels and other forms of gambling. But Sachs wants the commission to also oversee the state's $5 billion lottery.
(I certainly hope they WILL, Floridians and all American's deserve a game of truth if they have to gamble,at least tell the truth. Large sum of money spent on entertainment?)

Up to seven people would serve on the commission. They'd be appointed by the governor and overseen by legislators.
(Hopefully fully vetted and approved by the Senate as well, it should not be an appointed position unless done by the House)

"Any time you have a big pot of money and you have so many outlets where people are spending money to get money, you've got to have a lot of oversight," Sachs said.(Any amount of Luck would help)

The Gov. Should have NOTHING! to do with this as it is "volentary"(defined: done, given, or acting of one's own free will). TAX related(House related)organized criminal activity. I am asking all to boycott the Lottery until such time as they apologize and fire ALL put in postion of power and another solution to pick Lottery officials. Do not be misled by the lies placed on the web site, they are removing billions from the economy with FAR,FAR less than persons are led to believe going back into economy (contributing a mere 2% of education Budget)? The numbers are wantingly and willfully misleading.

(Offensive to ALL American's and Christian's alike.OH it is fine to slam American's as well the Presbyterian Church USA, number's run on 6.13.2012-(173) over 6.14.2012-000 into 219 evening then again on 7.17.2012-000 a mere 66 draws or 33 days into 108 with all due respect to the church, it's opinion, but to insult American's on the first day of Ramadan is unacceptable, not an ERR!!! Then to continue to insult American's and run the 911 a number that is now one of the sacred number's in Muslim History.Even after Four American's lost their lives in Libya to Muslim Radical's.Professionally Mr.Scott? As professionally as you conduct business with transparency? I suppose your actions speak volumes to this transparency, hiding emails, etc)

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) — This was a pig that truly could not fly.

The pig was ordered off a U.S. Airways plane at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut on Wednesday after crewmembers determined the animal had become disruptive, said Laura Masvidal, a spokeswoman for U.S. Airways parent American Airlines said Friday.

The pig had been brought aboard the flight by a passenger as an emotional support animal, Masvidal said. She said both the pig and its owner left the aircraft before it took off. She had no other details and did not immediately know where the flight was headed.

Jonathan Skolnik, a University of Massachusetts professor who was on the flight, told ABC News that he initially thought the female passenger was carrying a duffel bag.

"But it turns out it wasn't a duffel bag. We could smell it and it was a pig on a leash," he said.

The woman sat in an empty seat next to him and tethered the pig — which he estimated weighed 50-70 pounds — to the arm rest, but the animal began walking back and forth, Skolnik said.

Emotional support animals are allowed on commercial flights under U.S. Department of Transportation rules as long as they are not disruptive, Masdival said.Comments, insane or sane, the Pilot makes the call in this case it seems that even a Floridiot can understand, they can do the same thing to people who are disruptive as well. Fair is Fair,PETA Folks.

A SMART ASS

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over
and help him.. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing
something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of
the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step
up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.
NOW .............

Enough of that crap . .. The donkey later came back,
and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him.
The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in
agony from septic shock..

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes
back to bite you.

Doc,
As usual you seemingly find the mystery and not the resolve. Maybe someday soon you'll realize the true minority has become the White American Protestant Male and females running a very close edge to the bottom.A country as diverse as we can possibly be, the racial issue all banded together as American's at least for little while when we fought back for what we knew was the "Right" thing to do(2001). It's called having diplomacy and respect for being Americans, not apologizing to the world at large for wanted policing protection we so often supply at a premium so vast there is no price, we are owed by the very countries that now are being allowed destroy us by the current administration instead of Standing Tall and Proud to be American! Polity, makes since?Diplomacy has rarely ever been an effective resolve, in any issue, we either get tough or get out! Cowboys and Muslim's is getting closer everyday.

Let's review, first of all for the past 28 years plus we have been deceived into believing The Lottery is good and helping education through a so called Education Slush fund that provides less than 2 percent of Florida's education budget. The Lottery is it's own corporation, not a tax, and certainly has people feeling that as we voted, giving about 38 cents on the dollar to help education. Not true, it has no regulation and is wiping out Florida's economy.Selling to under 18 year old and vending machines violate Fla. Statue 307, Personally I think it's time we hold the Lottery responsible and not just find new ways of stealing money from our economy.
There should be oversight from the Florida gaming commission. The scratch off fever pitch sends chills up my spine when I see the lead leaching into our precious ground water. The State Legislation is responsible, primary responsibility falls on the Senate and every year the bill to place oversight gets whacked in the Senate, tabled if you prefer. They answer to nobody, they have no accountability or even credibility when it comes to this Floridian. So no to the Lottery.

This Floridian is has had enough of a legislative body that works for their interests and in no way is representing it's people in their district.
Think strongly about how well is your reps working for you? Are they abiding by your desires or are they destroying the Paradise Florida once was?
Should we consider maybe the legal age be raised to 21`

Mr. Latvala could not even keep the respect of fellow Senators, Just what the hell does he think he stands a chance of wrecking our state with his Scientology ties way too strong.Scientology may have wrecked the tax base in Pinellas County but it has no Place in the Governing of our State. 8 years of a liar has done damage enough, it's time for someone who will serve the people of this state with dignity.A brief straw poll from some longtime liberal Democrats are standing by to vote you into Office and clean up the corruption in Tallahassee.
