I hadnot read the trilogy before-each one of us has a purpose-some to protect-some to assist mankind-each of equal proportion-

Ofinky 's got his pinky on the gullet of the mullet. Will his intended hocus pocus creat a point of focus to get the ostrich people to extricate their heads from the satisfying sands placating their existance? And so it goes, or will it? Grave

Wendall told Lu who told me about your post which I have had a chance to look over. Nice to see your as vociferous as ever Al, though its been years since we had a chance to debate the issue d'jour, I'm glad to see your still in circulation. Although we never agreed on much politically I am glad to see you seem equally disappointed with both sides of the isle. Paul

Hey ... I have a feeling you'll hear me better here than in the "cubicle". Kidding, only somewhat...
I'd rather read you than hear you, because you're WAY over my head, and I read better than I listen, if you hadn't noticed. Hmmm.
See you Thursday.
When's the signing at Barnes and Noble; tongue in cheek.

"Cultivating Stupidity" is great. My father used to say that there was more death and killing in the name of the "Lord" (any "Lord" or God) than over anything else. We kill people over God and money: both things can be used to comfort and help others if used properly.

Would you consider writing something about the medical profession?

Nice to meet you the other day!
best,
Marissa

RE: Religion, Conscience and Politics ...

If you are referring to former President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in your comment about "a man whose associate had committed the unforgivable sin of oral sex with a consenting adult," then you need a lesson or two in Washington politics and law.

1) Politics -- Monica Lewinsky was not an "associate," but an intern. One of Washington's unwritten laws is that the boss does not take advantage of interns. In this case, Clinton was the equivalent of a guardian and Lewinsky the equivalent of a ward.

2) Law -- President Clinton not only violated presidential ethics when he pointed his forefinger at the nation and declared that he "did not have sex with that woman." What he violated was his oath of office by perjuring himself in a legal proceeding -- something that has earned other elected and appointed officials admission to prison.

At the same time, could you explain what the religion of Chris Matthews and Tip O'Neill have to do with Clinton and Lewinsky? Neither supported trying the President for impeachment. If your "oral sex" reference has nothing to do with Clinton or Lewinsky, then I must be even more confused than you..

Ofinky,

I think I like "Send in the Clowns" the best, so far. I went through about 6 or 8 blogs this afternoon. You are something else.
Thanks for a delightful evening last night at the PCOMS. I will read all of your blogs eventually but too much at one time would put me on sinful overload.

Hey Doc,

There is some great stuff here. But, (selfishly) don't leave the practice til' I am on easy street.
Keep up the good work! I will see you soon.

Doc,

Your analysis of Ms. Clinton is right on. She has a better understanding of the real issues facing this country then either Mr. Obama or Mr McCain. Unfortunately though, half of the American voters really are more interested in being entertained. They like Mr Obama for his showmanship. He talks a good talk, but has yet to offer any real plans to address the economy, healthcare, social security, or even the war on terror.

good thinking-I don't however feel she would make a good president-she seems to go after anyone who disagrees with her-I agree with all you said but I don't think she'd be easy for her staff to deal with-god help us all when she gets her "lady"days personality-she a scorpio who can bite. And I feel obama can be all her good points and then some

You are right O'Finky... we have one shot and one shot only at knocking out this monarchy. Only problem is, it won't happen. Our fate has been decided for us. This country is reliving the demise of the Roman Empire... this whole thing was predicted by Nostradamus. All the years we have been searching for the antichrist... and he may have been among us all along!!!!!!!!
